Physical, optical, thermoanalytical, and radiation response study of Eu2O3-doped zinc fluoro-telluroborate glasses

Abstract In the present study, Eu 3+ -doped zinc fluoro-telluroborate transparent glasses were prepared by conventional melt−quench technique. Their density and refractive index values measured, using these values, different physical parameters (number density, oxygen packing no. of bonds/vol, etc.) calculated analysed. The XRD pattern displayed a disordered atomic arrangement in glass network. EDS spectra proved purity samples exhibiting only those elements used during synthesis. good solubility ions was analysed through fine absorption peaks UV−Vis−NIR range. intensities increased all up to 3.0 mol% -doping concentration. stabilities samples, such as ∆ T ~ (144–156) °C H r 2.33–4.00, characteristic temperatures ( g , x c m ) from DSC studies exhibited their promising candidature high-temperature environment. Eu7 (Eu with mol%) confirmed better attenuation properties (LAC, Z eff HVL, MFP) compared other composition (0–2.5 glasses.
